As they contact the rescue helicopter, the Tyrant resurfaces through the lab's roof onto the helicopter's landing pad, launching a sudden attack. Despite its resistance to bullets, the Tyrant meets its demise when Brad, the helicopter pilot, drops a rocket launcher. Chris/Jill seize the opportunity and use the rocket launcher to obliterate the creature. With the Tyrant defeated, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine escape in the helicopter just moments before the mansion explodes, bringing the game to its climactic conclusion.

Once they manage to stop the train, the trio manage to escape leaving Birkin trapped, who eventually dies after the train explodes. Leon reveals his intention to take down Umbrella as he leaves Raccoon City with Sherry, and Claire continues her search for her brother. In the end, it is revealed that Ada survived the deadly encounter with the creature by managing to get hold of a sample of the G-Virus.

After fighting Krauser and It, Leon is finally able to successfully rescue Ashley and flee from Saddler with Ada's help. However, Saddler captures Ada and challenges Leon to one last fight. After an intense fight with Saddler who mutates his body into a monstrous appearance, Leon kills him with a special rocket launcher provided by Ada. After retrieving the sample, Ada forces him to give it to him, and gives him the keys to a jet ski so they can escape the island, while she escapes from the complex in a helicopter.
